The Longneck project is one that has been very near and dear to Creation Cafe founder, Jason Morrison. Longneck is the name of the Battalion that one of his grandfathers served in during World War II. Upon his return, he chronicled the group's story and had that printed for all the men.
Now, 60 years later, available technology has not only reproduced the book, but also helped breathe some new life into it in a manner that the men would approve of. The Longneck map was originally drawn by Sergeant Elmer A Hayes and was included in the book on a 2 page spread.

The spread was scanned in and the linework was cleaned up to prepare it for color. Using a Wacom Intuos2 and Adobe Photoshop, color was digitally added. A digital version of their emblem, which was previously only available as a wooden plaque, was also added.
