Jason Morrison Elected President of The Visual Artist’s Collective of Henry County, Inc.
MCDONOUGH, GA - January 17th, 2007 - The Visual Artist’s Collective of Henry County (VAC), a non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting the arts within Henry County, held a meeting recently to discuss the future of the organization and to elect new members.
Jason Morrison, founder and Creative Director of Creation Cafe, was pleased to be nominated and elected as president of the VAC for the 2007 year. Additionally, Gina Morrison, Creation Café project manager, was nominated and selected as secretary for the 2007 year. Both parties were excited to be official VAC team members and look forward to a healthy and productive year in the organization.
The organization has most recently been managed by the likes of Lynn McMeans and Barbara Frazier. Frazier is often credited with not only providing the VAC with a large popularity boost within the community but is also responsible for major art promotions over the past many years.
They both leave big shoes to fill.
"They have their roots in the art community here," said Morrison. "My main goal is to not just to help keep the organization afloat, but to see if we can bring it to the next level. I think community involvement and awareness is the cornerstone for which plan to continue to keep building."
